Climate change

We provide high-level technical advice to support governments, businesses and organizations in managing the impacts of climate change, including the following services:

  • Establishment of climate change Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) systems including institutional arrangements;
  • Preparation of proposals and implementation of adaptation and mitigation projects:
    • Adaptation: Vulnerability assessment and definition of adaptive measures to increase social, economic and environmental resilience;
    • Mitigation: Elaboration of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) inventories and design of strategies for the reduction of emissions and transition to a low-carbon economy.

Wastewater Treatment and Sanitation

We develop industrial and domestic wastewater treatment systems, based on NBS (nature-based solutions). These solutions replicate eco-friendly processes for wastewater purification, minimizing the use of energy and chemicals, adapting to different urban, rural and industrial contexts.

  • Preparation and monitoring of Wastewater Treatment Plant projects;
  • Development and monitoring of decentralized urban and rural sanitation systems with biogas abstraction;
  • Preparation and monitoring of urban sanitation projects;
  • Research on spills in industrial facilities and establishment of monitoring systems.

Environmental and waste management

We carry out physicochemical and microbiological analyses of potable, surface and groundwater, as well as studies of aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Based on scientific data, we develop environmental management and restoration plans, supporting the conservation and sustainable use of natural resources.

Eco Engineering supports university and technical institute students in the development of end-of-course assignments and projects by providing expert technical guidance, access to data, methodological advice and scientific review. Whenever possible, we facilitate funding mechanisms for the realization of academic projects, encouraging applied research and the training of qualified future professionals in the areas of environmental engineering, water resources, climate change and sustainability.

Creation and Commercialization of Agroecological Products

  • Promotion of a system to produce agrogeological products for rural communities.
